Talking about yourself as a businessman is not easy enough, and usually it is the privilege of partners or clients! However, for a brief introduction, I am enclosing a short but relevant express interview that I gave in 2022 to Odesa Business School as part of the project "3 QUESTIONS for businessmen!
Question 1:
"A SUCCESSFUL / LUCKY BUSINESSMAN! What does it mean to you?"
It is often assumed that the simplest definition of a person's success is their business achievements... But if we describe successful business processes and the people in them in an alternative way, we can say this: "A successful businessman is driven not only by results and income! For him, business is a combination of sporting excitement and the desire to always win! Extreme and adrenaline all in one! A businessman is like a climber whose life is a new peak every day and the satisfaction of conquering it!
Does success and the combination of all of the above make a businessman happy? On average, I think so! Today, it is precisely the phrase - a happy and successful businessman - that has begun to become a more attractive narrative than simply being as successful as possible! And although the line between successful and happy businessman is extremely blurred (as well as the very idea of happiness), one should understand that success brings business, and happiness is formed by personal life, family, hobbies... Only the right combination of all these will make a successful businessman happy, too!
Question 2:
"WHICH OF YOUR BUSINESSES GIVES YOU FREEDOM AND WHY DO YOU NEED IT?
Business can be perceived in different ways, for some it's freedom and for others it's a shackle... Freedom in business is one of the pillars of success, and as a consequence (most often) is achieved through "working around the clock"! Fortunately, the projects I created, business experiments, the presence of successful and unsuccessful (and what can be without it) experience, formed the pool of opportunities, which can absolutely confidently call the freedom!
However, each businessman perceives freedom in his own way! For some, it is an opportunity to create another business, to open new horizons of opportunity, to find new freedoms - it is an endless process! And some, like me, use their freedom for their beloved family, as well as their hobbies. In my case, my hobby is social projects and the Good Deed platform I created!
But most importantly, always remember - business is treacherous, and for any freedom a businessman usually pays with his own time... As paradoxical as it sounds, freedom is worth 24 hours of work... So the greatest and most honest freedom in business is to love your business, and then the line is washed away!
Question 3:
"What do the phrases "restarting", "starting from scratch" and what impact has the war had on you?
Today we can say that all the previous world crises made me stronger and more powerful, while epidemics gave a good kick to the imagination and business experiments... But none of this compares with war! It is worth recognizing that the area in which I was building my business was not prepared for active hostilities on the territory of Ukraine (indeed, neither was most of the country's business activity) ... The vast majority of my projects were either destroyed or frozen until the war was over... All but one!
A businessman's main asset is himself! And so, any force majeure is simply a new phase! And if you have those around you who love and support you, then the rest is just a process, albeit a difficult one, but surmountable!
Therefore, today I again have the time and energy to create new projects and meet new partners, both in Ukraine and in other countries!
I have reformatted some old business ideas, and also developed new ones for European and American market in a short time! Some of these projects are in the process of testing by foreign partners, and some ideas and projects are in the process of forming and searching investors!
The most important thing to always remember - you made yourself successful, so why not just do it again?
See you at the signing of new contracts! Always yours, creative (and possibly future) partner!
